Hi there! I’m so glad you’re here. My name is Shawna, and I’m a wife, a woman of faith, and a proud mom of two amazing (soon to be) college-aged boys. Sports Mom Life and Style was born from my deep love for fashion, sports, and creativity—and my desire to create a space where all of that could come together.
My blogging journey began over 18 years ago, shortly after my oldest was born. I launched my first blog under the name Busy Momi Bee, and what started as a simple creative outlet quickly became a full-blown passion. I threw myself into learning everything I could about blogging—not just writing and storytelling, but also design. That passion led me to create Busy Momi Bee Blog Designs, where I learned coding, honed my skills in design tools like Photoshop, and mastered platforms like WordPress and Blogger. I loved it all—the creativity, the challenge, and the opportunity to help others bring their blogs to life.
That journey eventually brought me into the world of social media, and from there, Sports Mom League was born—a business that beautifully blends my love for sports and creativity.
Before I was a sports mom, I was an athlete myself. Field hockey was my main sport, and I played throughout middle and high school before continuing at a Division II college. I also ran track in high school and played basketball in middle school. After my own athletic career ended, I had the joy of cheering on my younger sister as she became a standout high school athlete and later an All-American in college cross country and track.
When I became a mom, I just knew I wanted to raise athletes. Sports were in my blood, and being a sports mom has been a core part of my identity for over a decade. Both of my boys became competitive athletes, playing travel and high school soccer, with a little basketball mixed in along the way. Watching them grow through sports has been one of the greatest joys of my life—and building a community of other sports moms through Sports Mom League has made the journey even more meaningful.
